Eleanor practiced being in a room without leaving any clues that she’d been there.He just held his comics open wider and turned the pages more slowly. “We meet tomorrow in the library,” Mr.Where her mother was finely drawn, Eleanor was smudged. Where her mother was statuesque, Eleanor was heavy. Eleanor looked like her mother through a fish tank.Like they weren’t there just to hold her up, they were there to make a point. It’s funny, it’s witty, it’s emotional, it’s butterflies-in-your-stomach feel-good, and - it’s absolutely heartbreaking. There isn’t much praise to be said about this book that hasn’t already been said a thousand times - and deservedly so. (Do people still say things like ‘pwned n00bs’ or am I hopelessly old and out-of-the-loop? Get off my lawn.
